SoCal Removal removed an outdated restroom structure and surrounding concrete at Louise Park in the Lake Balboa area of Los Angeles. The project addressed existing improvements within an established neighborhood recreation property.
The removal addressed aged restroom and hardscape improvements as the park moved toward its next construction stage. Existing pavement condition and changes in level were practical considerations when establishing the removal boundaries.
About Louise Park
Louise Park serves the surrounding community with baseball fields, a children’s play area and restroom facilities. The Los Angeles County facility listing identifies it as a city-operated park.
City planning records describe a broader facility-improvement program that included replacement of an older restroom and changes to the parking and pedestrian areas. That background explains the setting for the demolition assignment; SoCal Removal’s project story centers on the removal work.
Taking out the existing restroom
The photographs show the masonry restroom before demolition and the building-removal stage. The surrounding concrete was also part of the documented assignment.
A park demolition requires clear limits around the building, pavement and nearby recreational features. The work area and equipment route need to be planned with the team responsible for the subsequent improvements.
A defined contribution to the park project
Removing the existing restroom and concrete opened the designated area for the next construction stage. New facility installation and the wider park improvements belong to the overall project sequence.
SoCal Removal can review demolition assignments for parks and institutional properties with the owner or prime contractor. The most useful starting documents are the removal drawings, material survey, utility information and site-access requirements. Together, those records help define the scope and the condition needed by the next trade.
