Los Angeles asbestos removal

Before disturbing existing ceilings, flooring, walls or other suspect building materials, the project team needs an appropriate independent survey and a defined scope. When a survey finds asbestos, a separately licensed abatement contractor registered with Cal/OSHA (DOSH) removes it under subcontract to SoCal Removal, and we schedule the demolition or renovation around that work.

Our Los Angeles County project history includes acoustic ceiling removal at a Compton home, abatement work within a Redondo Beach dental suite and cleanup at a fire-damaged Boyle Heights property. These assignments involved different building conditions and renovation needs; a scope from one property should not be carried over to another without review.

Regulated asbestos removal is performed by appropriately licensed subcontractors and, where required, Cal/OSHA-registered employers. Independent qualified parties provide testing and clearance services. SoCal Removal’s ASB certification is for bidding purposes only; the responsibilities of each assigned party are established before fieldwork.

Site preparation can begin with removing deteriorated pavement, concrete, unwanted structures or accumulated debris. The useful handoff is specific: the next trade needs to know what has been removed, what remains and which grading, base preparation or finish work belongs to its own scope.

Our Lake Balboa parking-area work involved deteriorated asphalt removal as a subcontract assignment for California Skateparks. The Louise Park project included concrete removal around existing facilities. At Boyle Heights, cleanup and abatement addressed a damaged property ahead of its next stage. Each example connects site conditions to a defined removal assignment.

For concrete and asphalt work, provide a marked site plan, the intended removal depth, known utilities, access information and the planned replacement surface. For cleanup, include the property boundaries and photographs of the materials to be handled.
