SoCal Removal performed the demolition, with asbestos-related removal by its Cal/OSHA DOSH-registered abatement subcontractor, for a major dental office renovation in Redondo Beach. The work was planned in two principal phases, with selected ceiling openings made for the plumbing trade.
The suite was in a multistory professional building, so the removal scope extended beyond the treatment rooms to the planned route through shared circulation areas. The two-phase approach connected the dental renovation with those building-access requirements.
About the property
The project served a dental practice in a professional suite on Via El Prado. A dental office brings treatment spaces, building services and common-area access into a compact setting. Renovation work therefore needs to account for the suite itself and the routes shared with the surrounding building.
The documented agreement identifies a suite-level renovation rather than demolition of the entire property.
Planning two work areas
The abatement subcontract referenced an independent asbestos survey and divided the work into two main phases. The scope assigned the general contractor’s barricades and a temporary zipper barrier between work zones where a barricade was absent.
It also called for removal of marked ceiling portions needed by the plumber. Those boundaries helped link the removal work to the next trade’s requirements.
Debris routes and records
The agreement addressed use of stairs or an elevator for debris movement, upkeep of common areas, planning with the site superintendent and retention of waste documentation. These are practical details in a professional building where work extends beyond the room being renovated.
SoCal Removal can review demolition and abatement for dental and other commercial interiors. Provide the material survey, phasing plan and building access rules so the scope can be aligned with the renovation team and the property’s requirements.
