SoCal Removal’s Cal/OSHA DOSH-registered abatement subcontractor completed an asbestos-related removal stage at a residential property on the Newport Beach Peninsula before planned building demolition. The work addressed designated materials within the existing structure so the project could progress through its pre-demolition sequence.
Preparing an existing building
The photographs show a garage interior before and during strip-out, followed by views of opened wall and ceiling assemblies. Retained equipment and other building components are visible within the work area.
These images help explain the physical setting. The material survey and removal documents establish which components belong in the asbestos scope and which belong in subsequent demolition.
A separate stage before building removal
Pre-demolition abatement has a specific purpose within a larger project. It addresses identified materials through the assigned scope before equipment demolition disturbs the building.
On a residential property, the project team also needs to plan access, utilities, staging and the handoff between the abatement contractor and demolition crew. The intended future work should be clear before either stage is scheduled.
Planning Peninsula demolition work
For owners preparing a Newport Beach property for demolition, the useful starting package includes the survey, demolition drawings and photographs showing site access. Those records help define the designated removal areas and plan work around the existing building.
SoCal Removal can assist with planning asbestos-related removal and demolition scopes in Newport Beach and Orange County. This project documents the preparatory materials-removal stage, providing a clear example of how that work fits ahead of the next construction phase.
